James Diaz

Colombian composer and sound maker James Diaz composes music that strives to create unique sonic textures, sound masses, and interactive environments. He is deeply influenced by the concept of psychedelia and psychedelic rock bands, and also draws from elements of architecture, Latin-America landscapes, generative graphic design, and photography in his music. James is currently a doctoral candidate in composition at the University of Pennsylvania as a Benjamin Franklin fellow. James is a cofounder of the Colombian Composers Collective, C3.
