Thea Little
National Sawdust Board
Thea Little is an accomplished choreographer and interdisciplinary artist whose practice is grounded in rigorous movement and voice research, collaborative creation, and conceptual inquiry. Her work frequently brings together dancers, musicians, composers, and visual artists, resulting in performances that emphasize process, presence, and the expressive potential of the body and voice. She is known for creating work that is both intellectually considered and deeply physical, inviting audiences into intimate and dynamic performance experiences.
Alongside her creative practice, Thea is a current board member of LEIMAY Dance and New Dance Alliance, where she contributes to organizational governance, strategic thinking, and long-term sustainability from an artist-centered perspective. Her board service reflects a deep commitment to arts leadership, mentorship, and community building within the nonprofit sector.
In parallel with her performance work, Thea leads Feng Shui–based workshops, consultations and online courses, including The Feng Shui of Art, which explores artwork's relationship to space, intention, and emotional wellbeing. These offerings reflect her broader interest in how physical environments, movement, and artistic practice shape human experience.
Based in Brooklyn and active in New York City’s experimental performance community for many years, Thea continues to evolve her work through residencies, collaborations, teaching, and public engagement.
