National Sawdust’s flagship educational program for middle school performing artists and composers, Student CoLab, seeks to engage young creatives through artistic expression to lead students into creating works of their very own. For this live event along the Domino Park waterfront, our students composed works for a subset of a marching band, engaging in a long and passionate history of protest music.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
National Sawdust’s flagship educational program for middle school performing artists and composers, Student CoLab, seeks to engage young creatives through artistic expression to lead students into creating works of their very own. Through this program, we aim to uplift and encourage our young creators to engage in their ideal creative pursuits, liberated from boundaries of genre or access, and create freely in their ideal vision.
During this three month program, the student artists will create multidisciplinary works centering on themes collaboratively chosen by the teaching artists and the students. This year, the theme of our concert will be: from hope into joy, a celebration of togetherness and joy in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
For this event, our students composed works for a subset of a marching band, engaging in a long and passionate history of protest music, for a live performance that will follow a path along the Domino Park waterfront.
The performance begins at the Grand Street entrance of Domino Park at 6pm, with an afterparty at Disco Tacos at 6:45pm.
