Founded in 2015 and returning from a five-year hiatus, The Hum is BACK for one night only as part of Audiofemme's Agenda Grant Festival! The Hum is a concert series that celebrates and uplifts the community of womxn and gender-nonconforming musicians and artists in New York City. At its core is collaboration: each show features new ensembles composed entirely of womxn and nonbinary artists, curated and paired specifically for the series. These one-night-only “dream bands” perform original sets created just for the occasion, existing only in the moment and never to be repeated.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
Collaborations by:
Since its inception, The Hum has presented more than 300 musicians across venues including Pioneer Works, Le Poisson Rouge, National Sawdust, Manhattan Inn, House of Yes, and beyond. These collaborations have sparked long-lasting friendships, creative partnerships, and even new bands. The music spans a constellation of genres and influences, each set uniquely shaped by the artists’ combined voices. Together, they create a space where womxn are linked—not ranked—and celebrated for their artistry on its own terms.
The Hum is more than a concert, it is a living experiment in collaboration and community.
This is a seated performance. If you require accessibility accomodations, please email boxoffice@nationalsawdust.org.
