Beth Morrison Projects presents BMP: SONGBOOK, a two-night live performance event celebrating twenty years of groundbreaking innovation in American opera. This milestone production brings together the extraordinary artists who have defined BMP’s legacy, performing unforgettable selections from some of the company’s most iconic works.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
BMP: SONGBOOK also marks the release of an extraordinary collection of new works: the BMP: SONGBOOK Anthology, a two-volume set featuring more than 60 arias from BMP’s 60+ commissioned works; the BMP: SONGBOOK album with its companion Signature Collection Vinyl edition; and a commemorative visual history book capturing two decades of daring artistry through interviews, stories, and images from BMP’s visionary collaborators.

Beth Morrison, Curator and Director
Beth Morrison, a Grammy-nominated producer and recipient of the Musical America Award for Artist of the Year/Agent of Change, is an acclaimed opera-theatre producer. She is the President and Creative Producer of Beth Morrison Projects and Artistic and co-Founding Director of the PROTOTYPE Festival. Hailed as a “contemporary opera mastermind” (LA Times), she founded BMP in 2006 to support living composers and transform the opera industry. BMP has produced over 65 works worldwide, including two Pulitzer Prize-winning operas. Morrison holds degrees from Boston University, Arizona State University, and Yale University and is a Lecturer at Yale’s David Geffen School of Drama.

Founded in 2006 by Beth Morrison, hailed by the LA Times as a “contemporary opera mastermind” and named one of Musical America’s Artists of the Year/Agents of Change, BMP operates nationally and internationally from its Brooklyn and Los Angeles offices. Called “a driving force behind America’s thriving opera scene” (Financial Times), BMP “more than any other… has helped propel the art form into the twenty-first century” (Opera News).
BMP has commissioned, developed, produced, and toured 65+ works in 15 countries, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning Angel’s Bone (Du Yun/Royce Vavrek), p r i s m (Ellen Reid/Roxie Perkins), and GRAMMY™-nominated Black Lodge (David T. Little/Anne Waldman). Its work has been presented at major venues and festivals including BAM, Lincoln Center, The Barbican, Edinburgh International Festival, and The Beijing Music Festival.
Through initiatives like BMP: Producer Academy and BMP: NEXTGEN, the company fosters the next generation of producers, composers, and artists.

PROTOTYPE is produced by Beth Morrison Projects, a trailblazer in the creation and presentation of contemporary, multi-disciplinary opera-theatre and music-theatre works. The visionary festival is the only one of its kind in New York City and is a model now emulated around the country—producing and presenting a wide spectrum of works, from intimate black-box experiences to larger chamber opera productions, valuing artistic, curatorial, and producorial risk-taking.
PROTOTYPE is committed to surprising our audiences and confounding their expectations through content, form, and relevance. The festival gives voice to a diverse group of composers, librettists, performers, and musicians across all genres, backgrounds, and cultures.
