On April 30, Del Maguey & Parcha welcome Julieta Venegas for an intimate evening of music and conversation about her upcoming album and memoir Norteña. The Single Village Music Series brings some of the most exciting voices in Latin music into intimate spaces, pairing live music and conversation with the flavors and stories of our Single Village mezcales. It is about connection and discovery, where the same care that goes into every song meets the same care that Del Maguey families pour into every batch of mezcal.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

A defining voice in Latin music, Julieta Venegas is one of Mexico's most celebrated singer-songwriters, a multiple Latin Grammy Award-winner from Tijuana, whose work has shaped Spanish-language music for over two decades. Her newest album, Norteña, is her most personal yet: a return to the border culture, sounds, and stories that formed her. "Todo para mí está atravesado por esto," she has said of growing up on the US-Mexico border. "Ahí conmigo se formó mi manera de ser y mi visión del mundo."

For this special evening, Julieta will perform intimately and sit down for a live conversation about Norteña with the author and journalist Carlos Manuel Álvarez. Norteña reflects on the music of her childhood and Tijuana as a place where cultures and identities collide; what it means to look back at your roots and say, with full pride, "soy Norteña."

This event is 21+. RSVP is required and entry is subject to capacity. Early arrival is encouraged.

Please drink responsibly.

This is a standing room-only performance. If you require accessibility accommodations please email boxoffice@nationalsawdust.org.
